Ouside the Wasatch Front

We have it pretty great here!  Ya, I know we are waiting for the "Big One" to hit.  But all in all we are pretty lucky living here along the beautiful wasatch front.  I just returned from the Washington D.C. area where we experienced an earthquak and a hurricane.  It was amazing to see the shelves in the stores go bare as everyone tried to prepare (at the last minute) for the Hurricane.  But all in all it was not too bad.  We witnessed a tree uproot and fall onto a house.  Rain and flooding but 2 days later we went to the beach like nothing had happened.  So, Wasatch living has its advantages.  We are prepared, for the most part, for the Big One.  We are enjoying a beautiful end of summer, early fall time.  We have the most beautiful transformation of the Wasatch front coming with the changing of the leaves, the vibrant colors and the cool fall weather.  So get out and enjoy the season, the last days of summer and get into the mountains as the leaves begin thier change.
Now go out and have a WASATCH LIVING DAY.

THAI BASIL - GREAT NEW EATERY

I had the great pleasure of enjoying a fine restaurant in Riverton. I am a fan of great Thai food and have become a fan of thier curry dishes.  I ran into Thai Basil in riverton located at 2778 West 12600 South.  This is a small quant Thai restaurant with great food.  I seem to always gravitate to Pad Thai and they will make it to any specifications you want.  I highly recomend medium spicy.  Thier menu selection is vast will accomodate all tastes. It is a great place to take a client or the family.

HISTORY WAS MADE TODAY!!!!

In my inaguaral post, I wanted to be able to expound on some historical event.  I could. of course talk about the historic weather we have had this year along the wasatch front, or maybe the historical debate that occured the other night, or..............  I could of coarse talk about my lovely 10 days on the island of Hawaii ( that will come in another post) but I am excited about the news today about Home Loan interest rates.  It has not been since the 1950's when we had rates drop below 4% on a fix rate mortgage. In the 50's we had only 15 and 20 year mortgages when the rate hit this low.  So amidst the turmoil of the world, we have something to celebrate.  The American Dream is still alive.  Home ownership is more affordable now than ever before.  America is still the greatest nation on earth, and I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!  Now go have yourself a great WASATCH LIVING DAY!
